Cityproved a heller combination and showed up in I lie finer points of the game. City kicked off and play was confined to midfield for lbe first part of the game and‘then City went to the attack strongly and kept Papakura on their line. Rrassey for Ghy, here scored a good try. City were pressing again and Real saved a danegrous situation. Melnnes also relieved with a good kick. Papakura then went to the attack again and eKal made a good run and just failed to get across. At lids stage Papakura was cutting theCity bucks 1° pieces and as a result ol one nice movement Kent scored wide out. Melnnes failing with the kick. City : Papakura,
The game continued fast, with good movements on both sides. Goul l scored for City. From the kick off Papakura pressed hard and Hancock scored for Papakura. Molnnes missing the kirk. The game now was in (lily's favour when Brassey scored two more tries and Stevens one. Burgoyne, with a good try brought Papakura’s total to 9. City ran out the winners by 15 points to 9.
