NOTES FROM MERCER
ROWING ACTIVITIES SUCCESS at ngaruawahia The Mercer Rowing Club achieved some success at the Ngaruawahia regatta on Saturday last,_ when the pair oars (Cooney and Herman) registered a win, and the senior fours (Clark McRobbie, C. Mcßobbie, J. Mcßobbie and R. Morey) secured third place in their respective events. A. Morey (Mercer) who rows for Auckland, came second in the single sculls. Personal > Mr and Mrs E. B. Morey left on Sunday for a week’s holiday in Whangarei. Mr and Mrs D. Cronin, of Whangamarino, former residents of Mercer, have taken up residence again in Koheroa road. Miss Connie Falconer is at present on holiday. She will be away for another week.
