WOMEN’S DIVISION

THE PUKEKOHE BRANCH ' PLEASANT JULY MEETING Airs Keane presided over a good attendance at the July meeting of the Pukekohe Women’s Division. The paper prepared by the W.E.A. for the women’s groups on national health insurance, a portion of which was read by Airs Cronin, was freely discussed.

The cooking competition for plain siones resulted Mrs Fausett 1, Mrs Willis 2, Mrs Fausett 3; plain article of knitting, Mrs J. Fausett 1, Airs Cronin 2, Airs Field 3. The best bloom competition was won by Mrs Bilkey, senr.

It was decided to have a cake shop window at Lhe next, A. and P. show in February, 1939.

The competitions for 'next month are wholemeal scones, marmalade and an apron.

Mrs Hart did excellent business at the exchange table. A dainty afternoon lea served by the hostesses brought a very pleasant, aflernoon to a close.
