ACCESS FOR SETTLERS
BACKBLOCKS ROADS.
METALLING TO BE UNDERTAKEN
Tenders are invited by the Franklin County Council for metalling of several more “backblocks” roads —Orua Bay road, Port Waikato to Maioro road and Bombay- Ararimu (new) road. These works are being undertaken by the Franklin County Council out of its roads loan with assistance of Public Works Department subsidies. Since the beginning of the summer oilier lengths of new metalling have been carried out or are being undertaken on: Kahawai road (McLarin’s beach, Glenbrook) ; Pollok Wharf road; Waipipi to Kohekohe road; Tc Toro wharf Voad; Bald Hill road; Batty’s road (Karaka) ; Irwin’s road (Karaka) ; Jeff’s road (Mangatawhiri) ; Mcßobbie’s road (Karaka). and Nairn’s road (Ilunua).
