LIGHTING THE PARK.
LEAGUE CLUB’S REQUEST. Reporting to the town board meeting on Tuesday evening, the chairman. Mr .11. E. McEntee. stated that the Papakura League Football Glut) had suggested that two. iloodlights be erected on Prince Edward park. Tin; cost of each, lie said, would lie £l'i. including £2 for installation. Mr 11. D. Spinley suggested that the club and the board pay for one light each. The club had plenty of money, its funds being obtained from Auckland. It was decided to advise the club of the cost and to ask for comments on the proposal. The Auckland Electricpower Board is to be asked for tiie cost of erecting a special floodlight in Queen street to light the playing area in the park, and also whether a slot-meter could be installed
