LETTERS TO THE EDITOR.

Til?: ARDMORE HALL. Sir, —In connection with (he report j in the Times of October 25 of a meetj ing tield the previous flay which was j called by the trustees of the Ardmore | hall. I wish to trespass on your space • (o correct what might have given a | wrong impression to those not know.mg the facts. The meeting was attended. by four disgruntled residents, i who never fail to strike a discordant ■ note in the affairs of the district, and j to whom the present satisfactory financial position of the hall owes no thanks. The trustees (who have laboured under difficulties during the past year, owing to two of their number suffering severe illnesses), members of the W.D.F.U., and the contraclor deserve the thanks of all residents for the addition of a ladies’ dressing rVjom, and other much needed improvements to the hall, at a very moderate cost. The hall is sufficiently large for the present, and contrary to a statement made at the meeting, many successful and enjoyable dances and entertainments have been held there. The building requires a coat of paint and if the resident who offered to donate £5 for enlarging the hall (if nine others would each donate £5 first) would donate it now and get to work wilii Hie paint brush, it would be something to his credit. —I am. etc., “JIJSTITIA.” Ardmore. November 2. 1935.
