GOLF NOTES.
MANUKAU CLUB. 'tourney held. The Manukau Golf Club’s tournament held over the week-end was concluded yesterday. The Manukau cup, a medal match over 36 holes, was won by H. J. Levy (Otahuhu), who returned a nett card of 153. D. Coyle (Pukekohe) was runner-up with a score of 156. Other events resulted: 36-holes medal (handicap 15 and over), H. Dreadon (Manukau), 190; 18-holes medal, W. Blair (Manukau), 72; 18holes bogey, D. Coyle (Pukekohe), 1 up: 36-holes open handicap, W. Blair (Manukau), 147; 36-holes four-ball, best-ball bogey, H. Dreadon and W Blair, 6 up. CLEVEDON CLUB. B Results of play for the Clevedon club’s Henderson stars are: Senior: I w . Henderson. 72 nett. Junior: J. Colquhoun, 69. D. M. Bryan and J. Colquhoun, each with scores of 47, tied in the sealed hole competition. PAPAKURA CLUB. The qualifying round for the captain’s trophy was played in conjunction with the competition for Mr Kidd’s trophy among members .of the Papakura club on Saturday. The following eight players qualified: J. Weaver, 74 nett; Chappell, 75; J. Taylor, 76; Bryan, 77; Darrow, 78; Saunders, 79; N. Elliott, 79. Three players tied for eighth place, E. Miller, 81, qualifying on a recount over the last nine holes. Mr Kidd’s trophy was won by J. Weaver. PAPAKURA LADIES' CLUB. In conjunction' with the qualifying round of the' Fernaig cup, senior and junior eclectic match, the monthly L.G.U. medal match was played by members of the Papakura ladies’ club on Saturday. Mrs Foote, 99, 20 — 79, won the senior medal, and Miss Jarvie, 109, 35 —74, the junior medal. MATCH POSTPONED. The match between the Papakura and Otahuhu ladies’ clubs arranged for Thursday has been postponed. CLEVEDON LADIES’ CLUB. The draw for an L.G.U. medal round for the button and slar to lie played by members of the above club on Wednesday is as follows: — Miss W. Hyde v. Miss McPherson, Mrs Waters v. Mrs Shaw. Miss Waters v. Mrs Wells, Mrs Alexander v. Mps Bryan. Mrs Roberts v. Miss Wallis, Miss W. Knight v. Mrs Henderson, Miss G. Stephens v. Mrs Wilson, Miss Walsli v. Mrs Furley, Miss 1. Hyde v. Miss Wells, Miss Luke v. Mrs Dow, Miss D. Browne v. Miss Gore, Miss J. Burgoyne v. Mrs Bannerman, Miss Dow v. Miss Baird, Miss F. Stephens v. Miss Atchison, Miss Jones v. Miss Bell, Mr Colquhoun v. Miss K. Browne. Miss G. Knight v. another. The winners of the L.G.U. medal round played on Saturday were: Miss' W. Knight. 102, 27 —75: Miss McPherson. 105, 29 —76.
