Pukekohe Horse Sale.
A smaller yarding of horses than usual came forward at the horse sale held at Pukekohe on Friday by Alfred Buckland and Sons, Limited. The top price was £36, paid for a three-years-old medium lo heavy draught. The returning officer for the hospital board election, advised the Pukekohe Borough Council last week that Mr G. T. Parvin had been declared elected as Hie representative on Hie Auckland Hospital Board for Hie combined district of Franklin county. Pukekohe borough, Waiuku and Tuakau I own districts.—Th<* Mayor Mr O. K. Lawrie). in moving ihai the letter be received, congratulated Cr. Parvin on his re-election unopposed. Mr Lawrie expressed Hie opinion that no other man in Hie district had the interests of the Auckland hospital at heart and no one could carry out the duties more efficiently as Cr. Parvin. The motion was carried.
