An application for the supply of power was received from a settler al Pukokawa who lias built a .new house and milking shed. If the hoard extends its line direct to this property the distance, is 52 chains requiring, a guarantee of £3.0 per year.. The position is, however.-that it would lie advisable for (he line to be built, along the main road to provide for future extension lo Glenmurray and. to serve the properties adjoining the road the distance in this case being 73 chains. Tim estimated consumption of power is £24 per year and a guarantee has been signed for five years for £3O per year. T would recommend that Huline fie built in the correct, place for the amount, guaranteed. Atr L. W. Keats pointed out that there was quite a lot of scope in the district, which the line would serve. The area was suitable for sub-divis-ion and he anticipated that in the not distant future several farms would be sub-divided. The report was adopted.
