RUGBY FOOTBALL.
MANUKAU SUB-UNION. ROUGH PLAY DISCOUNTENANCED. A meeting of the emergency committee of the Manulrau sub-union was held on Wednesday last. Three names were before the committee in consequence of a report from the referees for rough play. These men were ordered off on the previous Saturday. The committee, after hearing the evidence, decided to administer a severe caution to each, man and issue warnings that any further trouble would result In suspension for a period. In future, rough play will be very severely dealt with. The protest from the Manurewa club against Drury was also dealt with, and a decision arrived at will be sent to the parties concerned.
