OBITUARY.

MR W. H. FAUSETT.

A PUKEKOHE-BORN RESIDENT,

The death occurred early yesterday morning, after a short illness, of Mr William Henry Pausett, a well-known resident of Pukekohe, at the age of 57 years.

He was born at Pukekohe Hill, being Ihe fourth son of the late Mr and Mrs John Fausett, who were early residents of Pukekohe. Mr Fausett senior farmed a property adjoining that of the late Mr Thomas Pollock. He attended the Pukekohe school and on completing his education was farming with his father for a few years. As a young man, Mr Fausett commenced a builder, which trade he carried on until the time of his death. In 1920. he established a successful joinery factory in Harris street. He was one of the foundation members of the Pukekohe Bowling Club, and took a keen interest in all other forms of sport, although not actively associated with these. Of a quiet, retiring disposition, he earned the esteem of a wide circle of friends. Mr Fausett was a member of the directorate of the Franklin Printing and Publishing Company. Limited, proprietors of the Franklin Times and the Tuakau and j District Times, and had completed four I vears of office.

He is survived by Mrs Fausett and three sons. Messrs Arnold. Ivan and Trevor Fausett. 'all of Pukekohe. to whom the deepest sympathy is extended. There are two grandchildren. Mr Fausett's surviving brothers and sisters are: Messrs John and Arthur Fausett (Puru. Thames). James Fausett (Pukekohe West). David Fausett (Pukekohe). Josenh Fausett (Waiau Pa). Edwin Fausett fArarimu) : Misses M. and F. Fausett (Pukekohe). Mesdames J. Duncan (Pukekohe), J. Blake (Pukekohe). H. Wright (Otaua). C. T>p, n i->v (Kihi Kihi. Tp \wamutu). and J. Writrht fOrini. formerly of PunP. ' Cine brother died 30 years ago.

The intermenf took place at the Pukekohe cemetery this afternon.
