NERVE GRAFTING
SUCCESSFUL TESTS BY AN AMERICAN.
' Successful experiments in replacing damaged nerves with live nerves from another part of the body are described in a communication to the American Association of Anatomists, according to Dr Donald Barron, of Yale University. The experiments were conducted on rats. In one case, having cut the nerve in the right foreleg of a rat, Dr Barron grafted in a nerve from a hind leg. The rat was' soon moving about as well as ever.
The experiments are. of importance as pointing the way to surgical treatment of certain forms of paralysis.
