LABOUR POLICY
AN AUSTRALIAN OPINION. For fourteen years we have had a chance Te socialise the industries, And it is patent at a glance We made a horrid mess of these. But still we keep the flag afloat, . Because we cannot find another That might be apt to change a vote In one direction or 'tother. A policy we have to show, To teach the blind electors Along the way that they must go, Or surely they'd reject us. We hope that it will fill the bill, If not we've something florid; And that is we will gild the pill With millions to be borrowed. From some unknown, unmentioned source— From some financial gusher; If not from London, then, of course, We'd stand a chance from Russia.
