NOTES FROM MERCER.
Mr W. G. Graham will take up his duties as headmaster of the Mercer school on May 23.. Before leaving Hautapu the members of the school committee called at the school, and after listening to the children being questioned in various subjects, Mr G. Watt, on behalf of the committee and children, spoke in very eulogistic terms of Mr Graham's work as headmaster, and then presented him with a bruss jardiniere.and biscuit barrel. !
