PERSONAL.
Miss Desirae Anderton, youngest daughter of Mr W. H. Anderton, of Bombay, has returned from the Auckland hospital, where she underwent an operation. She is now convalescing.
Prior to the commencement of the ordinary business at Wednesday evening's meeting of the Pukekohe Borough Council, the Mayor, Mr J. Routly, referred to the death of Mrs Johnston, wife of Mr Len Johnston, an employee of the council. Mr Routly, in moving a motion of sympathy, stated that Mrs Johnston was a member of the family of one of the original settlers of Pukekohe. The motion was carried in silence.
