Cost of Living.
The slight reduction in the price of gold, as cabled, is expected to produce a firming in the value of goods, says “The Post’s” Dunedin correspondent,. Since word has been received there advising merchants to buy Eastern products. such as sago and rice, as there is a likelihood of prices steadying and then rising. If this proves true, it may mean that imported groceries generally will not become any cheaper.
