Heavy Frosts.
Exceptionally heavy frosts were experienced in Pukekohe on Monday and Tuesday mornings, both of about the same severity. On Sunday night at 9 o’clock the ground temperature, as recorded at the Pukekohe primary school was 1G degrees above zero; during the night it fell to JO degrees, which gave 22 degrees of frost and at six o’clock on Monday morning the reading was .12 degrees or 20 degrees of frost. Yesterday morning there was also 22 degrees of frost. These were the heaviest frosts for some years.
