A “Cut” Volunteered.
The Mayor said he was pleased the council had taken the view it had in respect to the borough foreman. He was at the beck and call of the council at any time. He mentioned that some time ago the foreman had expressed his willingness to accept the 10 per cent cut along with all other employees. The discussion was not pursued. It is understood that since the council meeting the foreman has volunteered a cut of £26 per annum.
