ALLEGED THEFT OF TRUCK.
ACCUSED REMANDED
Mr D. R. Hamilton, J.P., presided at a sitting of the Pukekohe police court yesterday morning when tw r o young men, Thomas Joseph Laxton (23) and Ronald Henry Bronson (23) were charged that on June 3 at Maungatoroto, they did steal a motor truck, valued at £SO, the property of Edward Verene Cullen.
Sergt. J. T. Cowan said the accused were arrested on the Great South Road on Monday by Constable S. O’Donnell. He applied for a remand to Auckland on June 16. Sergt. Cowan mentioned that other charges were pending. The application was granted.
