LICENSING COMMITTEE MEETS.
THE ANNUAL MEETING
The annual meeting of the Franklin Licensing Committee was held at Pukekohe last week when there were present: Messrs F. H. Levien, 3.M. (chairman), C. K. Lawrie, J. T. Stembridge, M. Aldred, W. K. Francis and F. Perkins.
The requirements of the Police and Health Departments having been,complied witli licenses in respect of the Pukekohe hotel, Glohe (Papakura), Papakura hotel. Kentish hotel (Waiuku), Patumahoe hotel and Ye Jolly Farmer (Drury) were granted. The committee congratulated the licensees on the satisfactory conduct of their hotels during the past year, adding that this was a matter"for gratification, especially in a time of depression.
