Many a man carrying on satisfied in his third or fourth season with the same plugs would have an agreeable surprise if he fitted a new set. They often impart a remarkable degree of "pep" to the engine. That the insulation becomes more or less leaky, and so lessens the temperature of the spark, is generally accepted as the prime cause.
