FAUSETT —BROWNLEE.
WEDDING LAST WEEK. A very pretty wedding and one of much local interest was celebrated at the Methodist Church, Pukekohe, on Wednesday .last, the contracting parties being Mr Richard Ivan Fausett, son of Mr and Mrs W. H. Fausett, of West Road, . Pukekohe; and Miss, Beatrice, Evelyn Brownlee, daughter of Mr and Mrs T. Brownlee, of Pukekohe. .The Rev. H. L. Fiebig conducted the ceremony and Mrs Fiebig played the wedding music.- - The church had been decorated by friends of the bride. The bride entered the church on the arm of, her father, wearing a' charming dress of ivory satin beaute, relieved with embossed chenille georgette and front silver-embroidered panel. She also wore a beautiful veil and coronet of orange blossoms and carried a bouquet of, pale, pink- and white .flowers. ; Miss Ella Brownlee (sister) 'and Miss Vera Wright (cousin) attended as bridesmaids. The former wore a dainty'.frock tof apricot crepe'de chine, with diagonally tucked bodice, and lace panelled skirt, with godets of crepe de chine: The latter was attired 'in a pretty frock of pale green crepe de chine with lace yoke and godets of lace, v Both , wore tulle headdresses and- carried bouquets to tone, with their dresses.
Mr Arnold Fausett (-brother of the groom) and Mr Gordon Brownlee (brother of the bride) carried out the duties of best man and groomsman respectively.
After the ceremony about 100 guests were-entertained at breakfast at the Dominion tea rooms, the customary toasts being honoured. Mrs Brownlee (mother of the bride) wore a smart navy satin faille dress, embroidered in gold and navy, and navy taffeta hat. • Mrs Fausett (mother of the bridegroom) was gowned in sunset silk sultan, handsomely embroidered in autumn shades and hat to .match.
The bridegroom’s present to he bride was a sable fox fur and morocco handbag and the bride’s present to the bridegroom a leather suit case.
Subsequently the young couple left for Rotorua on their honeymoon, the bride travellfng in a beige repp dress with hat of the same shade. Mr and Mrs Fausett will reside in Harris Street, Pukekohe.
