FRANKLIN COURT.
A REQUEST FROM WELLINGTON.
TO STAGE IT THERE. A request to stage the Franklin Court at the Wellington show was made! b.v executive officers to the organiser, Mr A. F. Brown, recently. In accordance with the wishes of such officers, Mr Brown advised the sum required to convey the exhibits to the capital city, but to date he has not received any intimation as to whether the amount would be defrayed in the event of the court committee reaching the decision to display the goods, representing Franklin’s fertility. Interviewed this morning, Mr Brown said he had decided not to attend the show. The exhibits had been returned to the owners, which would mean re-collecting them, and this was no small task.
