RECENT BRIDES.

MELLSOP — JAMES-WALLACE.

AN AUCKLAND EVENT

\t" St. "■ Paul's-' Church. Symonds Street. Auckland, a quiet, hut pretty wedding was solemnised. The contracting parties were. Miss Florence James-Wallace, of Hamilton Road, Heche Bay, and formerly of Brisbane, and Mr H. 0. Mellsop, of Kohe Kohe. The ceremony was performed by the Rev.. J. C. Fussell, of Waiuku. The bride, who was given away by -her brother, Mr A. James-Wallace, of Brisbane, wore a navy and primrose crepe-de-chene gown, over which she wore a navy repp coat. Her hat was a. close-fitting fawn one, and she carried a pretty bouquet of primroses. Miss Mavis Clarke, the bridesmaid, was attired in a dainty frock of navy blue, with henna and gold trimmings. Mr J. Renall, of Kohe Kohe, attended In the capacity of best man. Subsequent to the reception, Mr #nd Mrs Mellsop left on a short motor tour before proceeding to their home at Kohe Kohe.

A WAIUKU CfiREMONY

A very pretty wedding was solemnised in the Anglican church, Waiuku, last" Wednesday, when Ivy, third daugtef of Mrs Sullings, of Pukekohe, was married to Wilfred, second son of Mr and Mrs Bateman, of Thames. The Rev. J. P. Cowle, of Pukekohe, was the officiating minister, while the duties of organist were carried out by Mrs. A. S. Vaughan. The bride, who was given, away by her brother, Mr J. Sullings, was daintily attired in ivory satin with silver shoes to match, and wore an embroidered tulle veil with coronet of orange blossoms. She carried a pretty shower bouquet of white cyclamen, sweet peas and asparagus fern.
