SEA CADETS TO HAVE TRIP ON FLEET CARRIER
(T\A.) WELLINGTON, Aug. 21. Consent has been given for an officer and 12 cadets from the Wellington Sea Cadet Corps to make a trip to Auckland in the light fleet carrier Theseus when she leaves Wellington after a five days’ visit. The party will bo in the charge of Sea Cadet Sub-lieutenant P. M. Sanders. The officer commanding the corps said it was not uncommon for sea cadets in Britain to make such trips, but this was the first time provision had been made for a New Zealand party. The object was to enable the cadets to gain further training and experience. British sea cadets had been aboard H.AI.S. Vanguard on the Royal tour to South Africa, which gave him the idea of making similar arrangements, which had now been approved bv the Minister of Defence and tho flag officer of the Theseus
