YOUTHS GAMBLE LUNCH MONEY AT “TWO-UP”

SYDNEY, July 13. A Perth schoolboy who had gambled away his lunch money recently exposed an organised two-up gang in Kalgoorlie school. The game, which had been in operation for some time, was organised by pupils aged from 9 to 11 years. According to Dr E. E. Elsey, Anglican Bishop of Kalgoorlie, the boys opened the game daily and encouraged their classmates to gamble for their lunch money. The bishop deplored the tendency of parents to give their children too much pocket money.
