THEOLOGICAL HALL FOUNDATIONS TO BE LAID NEXT YEAR
On Saturday, March 20. 1948, the foundation of the nejv Theological Hall will be laid, the Knox College Council decided yesterday. The decision followed recommendations from' the Building Committee that the ceremony should be performed at the time of the centennial celebrations next year, even if the erection of the building was delayed owing to t'he shortage of'’materials' It was also decided to ask the Governor-General. Sir Bernard Freyberg, to lay the stone. Other "recommendations approved by the council were that the Rev. 11. J. R.vburn should conduct the service, arid the 1948 Moderator of the General Assembly, the Rev. J. D. Smith, should deliver the occasional sermon.
