DISTINGUISHED N.Z. FLYER RETURNS ON FURLOUGH
' • 9 a.m.). PERTH, June 24. Formerly employed in the building trade in New Zealand, Flight-lieuten-ant ROy le Long, 29, of Auckland, arrived at Fremantle by the Largs Bay, fresh from flying jet-propelled aircraft ill England. He joined the R.A.F. a few months ago. After furlough in New Zealand ho will feturn to Britain. Long went overseas with the R.N.Z.A.F, six years ago, and during the war shot down 13 enemy planes and destroyed four on the ground. His distinguished record earned him the D.F.C. and bar.
