GOLF TOURNAMENT
KING'S CUP CONTEST
The annual open competition for the King’s Cup, which consisted of 30 holes of stroke play on handicap, was held at St. Clair yesterday, and was won by A. J. White (St. Clair), 71—67 138, with 0. McManus (St. Clair), 06—78—144, runner-up. Other trophies were won as follows: —Best cross aggregate, C. B. Wight (St. Clair), 77—73—150; best morning round, G. T. Demin (St. Clair), 84 —13—71; runner-up. morning round, J. W. Trewern (Otago), 82—10—72; winner afternoon round, S. Gourley (St. Clair), 81—10—71, and It. M. Maekuy (St. Clair), 80—18—71. equal.
