ANNUAL MEETING ,At the annual meeting of the Dalmore, Fine : Hill, and Liberton Ratepayers’ Association, Mr Petefson presided in the absence of Mr Faulds. It was decided to approach the town clerk with a view to obtaining a weekday bus from Campbell road at 8.30 a.m. daily, Monday to .'Friday,'for the convenience of 9 o’clock workers. On the representation of elderly residents of the district it was, further requested that- a bus leave Liberton at 6 p.m. on Sundays, returning about 8.30, thus providing residents with transport to and from church. , Members pointed, out that the steps in Bayton Terrace were once more m need of maintenance, as some elderly people had had minior.,accidents here. It was suggested that improvements of a permanent nature be carried out, arid the secretary was instructed to write accordingly. , Residents of Pryde street drew attention to the dangerous corner from Pryde street , into Barclay street ,and asked that steps be taken to have this area closed to all vehicular traflSc until such . time as fhe .;cornet, is widened, as this is at (present most unsafo for pedestrians and 'traffic alike. Dicussion arose j.as to taxi fares ruling in the district, and it was decided that the chief inspector of traffic be approached for the required information. ■ .
