ARMY VEHICLES
HIGH PRICES REALISED IN AUSTRALIA DARWIN, May 2. The sale of 300 Army aud works vehicles by the Disposals Commission returned the Commonwealth more than £00,600. The vehicles averaged £3OO each, including complete wrecks and others needing major repairs. The trans-Continental highways will shortly be dotted with a procession of trucks and cars'on trailers or under tow. A tank transporter fetched £2,400, and a jeep without engine or gearbox £65. Many intending buyers are returning empty-handed, amazed at the high prices. '
