' BIG PARADE IN NEW YORK POLITICAL POSTERS A FEATURE NEW YORK, May 2. 'The annual May Day parade was marked by posters directed at defeat of the pending anti-Labour legislation arid President Truman's programme of aid to Greece, 'Turkey, and China. “ Let the Greek people decide their own destiny,” “ Hitler cried Red and democracy was dead,” and “ Free Spain now\” were characteristic of the posters. It is estimated that 100,U00 took part in the march' and later gathered in Union Square, where they heard speakers, including the Negro singer, Paul Robeson. Roman Catholics throughout the United States, Canada, and Hawaii joined in special prayers “ for the Russian people and for the millions living in Communist-dominated lands.”
