DISCUSSION AT SERVICE CONFERENCE (N.Z.P.A. Special Correspondent.) LONDON, May 2. The military correspondent of the * Yorkshire Post ’ says that the British and Empire service chiefs who are to attend staff talks at Camberley next week will discuss the British Government’s desire to reduce the strength of its armed abroad and consider whether .it is possible to raise further troops overseas or arrange for dominion troops to share garrison duties. The conference will also consider the military situation in India, and On this it will be advised by Field-Mar-shal Auchinleck and' Lieutenant-gene-ral Sir Frank Messervy, commanding the North-west Frontier, who will attend the conference. British and Empire senior commanders in all three services will attend the conference, and also take part in the combined operations study, “ Operation Spearhead.”-
