BLOW TO NATIONALIST FORGES IN CHINA (Rec. 11.50 a.m.) ' NANKING, April 28. The Chinese Government’s supply centre of Taian, in Shantung province, has been recaptured by the Communists Taian is 45 miles south ot Shantung’s capital, Tsinan. Government forces captured Taian on- January 4. and rapidly built up' a supply centre for their war against the Communists in Shantung. Its loss is a serious blow to the Government’s hopes of ending the civil war in three months.
