The interest being shown by the general public in a special window display by the New Zealand Amateur Radio Transmitters in a popular Stuart Street radio shop symbolises radio as the leading hobby of to-day. A complete radio transmitter and receiver, designed and constructed by a member of the local N.Z.A.R.T., is on view. During major catastrophies in New -Zealand,' such as the Napier* earthquake, etc, such apparatus as this has contributed a valuable and most necessary part in providing an essential two-way communication. —P.B.A.
