SOWED WHEAT FROM PLANE
FARMER BEATS WEATHER HOLD-UP (Rec. 11.5 a.m.) LONDON, April 2. In an attempt to beat the weather hold-up of sowing, T. W. Tomkins, a Northamptonshire farmer, will sow 60 acres with wheat from his own plane. Tomkins says the land is too wet for ordinary sowing.
