NATIONAL PARTY
FORBURY PARK BRANCH i. The second annual meeting of the Forbury Park branch Of the New Zealand National Party • was held in the Presbyterian Church Hall at St. Clair on Tuesday evening with a good attendance of members. The branch chairman, Mr W. F. McCay, in presenting the annual report, thanked the retiring committee for its support during a year which had been a very busy one because of the alteration of the electoral boundaries and the election. Much had been accomplished, and the branch had made steady progress since its inception. A strong committee was then elected, with Mr McCay as chairman and Miss Blyth as secretary. The meeting. was briefly addressed by the electorate chairman (Mr H. H. Osborne), who gave an interesting outline of the political position in New Zealand > today, after which the official organiser fMr H. McLeod) stressed the necessity for continued activity pn the part of all branch committees. The answering of questions, followed by supper, brought a successful meeting to a close.
