HOMESERVICEMEN’S ASSOCIATION

MEETING OF EXECUTIVE Mr R. M. Wilkie presided over a meeting of the executive of the New Zealand Home Servicemen’s Association on Tuesday night. Correspondence was received from the Cromwell and Lawrence _ subbranches, both of which are in a healthy ‘condition. Reports were submitted by sub-committees, outlining activities fin connection with pensions, housing, rehabilitation, finance, pub- • licity,' social and rifle clubs, and these were adopted. Two new members .were admitted. It was reported that the rifle club will hold its annual meeting shortly, and increased active membership was expected for the coming year. It was decided to loan two rifles to the Cromwell 6ub-branch to assist the newlyformed rifle club. Appreciation of Mr A. Chisholm’s excellent work in connection with the publication of the Otago Home Servicemen’s journal was expressed and endorsed. ' . .
