RELAY CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING
On Saturday at the Caledonian Ground the Celtic United Athletic Club is holding a relay champidnship meeting and this should prove novel and interesting for. both competitors and spectators. This meeting will be the first of its kind to be staged m Otago. ... Particularly good entries hav# been received from neatif all the local clubs and a team from Timaru is expected to One particular event, the four-miles relay, should prove a classic raog with outstanding athletes like HarokJ Nelson (the New Zealand champion), G. C. Nelson, W. N. Burrows, A. A. Jelley, D. P. Hutton, and.M. Gillick competing. The team with the highest aggregate of points will be presented with the J. Htirring Memorial Trophy, a trophy especially made for this relay meeting.
