BURNSIDE STOCK SALE

A late start in the auction of stock at the weekly sale to-day at Burnside resulted in only the cattle section beingdisposed of by.. 2 p.m. and - a Atari being- mp.de with the sale of lambs. The quality of the entry of 262 cattle was not as good as usual, although all prime sorts were in keen demand. The. section included a fair percentage of cows and heifers. Extra prime bullocks sold up to £29 17s 6d, and extra prime cows up to £ls 17s 6d. Top price for heifers was £lB 17s 6cl. There was an average. yarding of lambs, which sold at schedule, rates. The highest price secured was 36s 6d.
