LEGAL LIGHTS
CANDLES IN COURT (Rec. 12.15 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 17 When Karminski, K.C., in the Divorce Court dimly lighted by candies said it was difficult for counsel to read their briefs, Mr Justice Wallington replied: ”1 know/by your voice that it is you, Mr Karminski, but that is my only clue to your identity. Either we must have some light or adjourn.” Eventually Mr Karminski continued to read his brief with the aid of a candle perched on several law books. Commissioner Eddy, hearing cases in the Divorce Court, gave his only candle to a barrister who was endeavouring to read his brief.
