TO THIS EDITOR. Sir, —I am amused to read that Dawson, one of Otago’s most promising sprinters, gets chosen for the national meeting for the events 220yds hurdles and broad jump. In the Otago championship bo is credited with lOsee for the lOUyds and 23 4-5 for the 220yds. These times, in the conditions which prevailed on Saturday, clearly tell us that we have a man who is in the class for the “ national ” 100yds and 220yds. Against the American, Campbell, recently, he ran very well-balanced races, which clearly show us that Dawson is well in form.—l am, etc., February 17. Runner.
