SCOTTISH SOCIETY
On Saturday night in the Crawford Lounge the Scottish Society of Dunedin held another enjoyable function. The executive was piped to the platform by one of the official pipers, Mr H. Crawford. The chair was occupied by the president, Mr J. T. ltainsay, who made reference to the death of «, past-presi-dent of the Council of Scottish Societies, Mr Peter Findlay. A welcome was extended to Mrs E. Stuart and Mrs M. Grant, of the Auckland ■ St. Andrews Society; Mrs J. Garside, of Huntly, Mr Nopne and Mr Brady, of the ship Salamaua. Songs were given by Misses D. Adcock, M. Wilson,, and A. Douglas; a waltz clog by Miss Don Hannah, a highland fling by the. Misses Don and Shirley Milne. The remainder of the evening was spent in dancing, the M.C. being Mr W. P. Smith.
