FELT AND TEXTILES UP

BETTER OFFER FOR STANDARD INSURANCES

There was a good tone in the Dunedin market this morning, but business was restricted to a sale of 100 Felt and Textiles of New Zealand at the better price of 60s 6d, which is equivalent to 80s cum rights. Standard Insurances were marked up by a. buyer at 89s 6d, which, on a cum dividend basis, is an advance of Is. Selected quotations are as follows: —

Trading narrowed slightly, but the demand for shares was noted in most sections of the market. Dalgety and Co. Ltd., Dunedin, report having received a cablegram from their London office as follows: —“'Woo! sales con-

tinue with good support from Continent and England, which are the principal operates. A total of 27,860 bales was offered and all sold. All descriptions except greasy medium cross-bveds are unchanged.” Murray, Roberts, and Co. report that the London market is stronger, with the Continent the principal buyer.
