University 282 (Coombs 82, Baker 59; Fraser three for 54, Harwood two for 41) played Carisbrook, 286 for eight wickets (Ritchie 113 notout, Valentine 44, Johnson 31; Forde four for 64). A five-point win for Carishrook. Otago Juniors 145 (A. Jones 30, C. Graham 24, N. Hughes 20 not out; Hollebon three for 52, Stewart two for 29) beat Kaikorai. 95 and 43 for four wickets (Berry 28, Stewart 28; S. Jones three for 14 and three for 15, Angell five for 30) on the first innings. SECOND GRADE A. Carisbrook 318 (Tregonning 63, Baird 48, McKay 48, Buckley 41, Ilonaldson 41). Kaikorai 103 and 115 (Burns 68, Welham 36; Hobbs five for 17, Baird six for 41). An outright win for Carisbrook.
