JURY DISAGREES
NEW TRIAL ORDERED After a retiremeht of four hours, the jury was unable to agree on a verdict in the trial of James Bell, which was concluded yesterday afternoon in The Supreme Court. : Bell, a mechahist, aged 58, who was represented by Mr O. G. Stevens, was charged with wilfully and indecently exposing himself in a public place, of committing an indecent act with intent to offend, and with wifully exposing himself in the Municipal Tepid Baths on October 17, 1946. The jury retired at 4 p.m. and returned at 8 p.m. • ' ‘ On the motion'of Mr J. B. Deaker, who represented The Crown, a new trial was granted, and was set down for 10 a.m. on Monday. The accused’s bail was renewed on the original terms.
