REPORT ON GREECE
INFLUENCED BY LEFT WING EXTREMISTS BRITISH DELEGATION CRITICISED (Rec. 11 a.iii.) LONDON, January 8. Greek Government quarters think the all-party British parliamentary delegation which reported on.the visit to Greece was “ most definitely influenced by Greek Left Wing extremists,” says Renter’s Athens correspondent. Government sources complained that the report did not go into the causes of the present situation. Concerning the delegation’s recommendation that an all-party Government should be formed and new elections held, the sources said: “The general feeling in the Greek Government seems to be one of scepticism.” The Opposition Press, however, interprets the delegation’s findings as confirming its criticism of M. Tsaldaris’s Government and its demand for a new Government.
