NATIONAL WELFARE COUNCIL'S PRIZES (Rec. 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, Jan. 8. For the best record of maternity and child welfare work in the British Commonwealth and the Empire , (excluding the United Kingdom) during the war years 1939 to 1944. the National Baby Welfare, Council has made an offer of four silver challenge shields and 20gs. One shield goes to the Royal New Zealand Society for the Health. of Women and Children. Two shields go to India and one to Malta. ' :
