STRIKES FOLLOW) HOLIDAYS CONSIDERABLE PRODUCTION LOSS (Rec. 8 a.in.) SYDNEY, Jan. 7. When the New 'South Wales coalminers returned to. work after their annual holidays, there were strikes at three mines, causing a production loss of 1.850 tons. There was a full attendance of miners on southern and western fields, but in the north, absenteeism was estimated at 20 per cent. The normal rate is between 10 and 15 per cent.
