MR CHARLES SUMNER WOOLWORTH
(Rec. 1.30 p.m.) NEW YORK, Jan. 7. Mr Charles Sumner Woolworth, one of the founders of Woolworth chain stbres, died at Scranton, Pennsylvania. He was 91 years of age. [Mr Woolworth operated from 1880 five and 10 cent stores on his own account. In 1912, the business was merged with other concerns, forming; the F. W. Woolworth Company, of which he was the chairman of tho hoard of directors up to his death. He was a director of public and business institutions.]
